Before you buy, in the store
- 80 cm shelves loaded with books: run a hand underneath, a dip of more than a centimetre will not recover.
- OXBERG doors and extra shelves are sold separately and fit a second-hand frame; just check the generation, as dimensions have shifted slightly over the years.
- The back is nailed on: a loose back can be re-nailed, a back warped by damp cannot.
