Before you buy, in the store
- Pull every drawer all the way out: the metal runners must glide without catching and the thin fibreboard bottoms must not be bowed.
- On a bed, make sure the centre beam and the slats (LURÖY or LÖNSET) are included: the frame alone is useless without them.
- A MALM chest must be anchored to the wall; IKEA supplies the anchoring kit free of charge, so do not skip it with children around.
