Used IKEA textiles & rugs in Ireland

Used IKEA rugs, cushions, throws and textiles to warm up a room for less. Check cleanliness and the absence of odours before buying.

What to check in this category

Compare the size, quantity and material

A curtain may be sold singly or as a pair, and a cushion cover does not necessarily include the cushion pad. For rugs and textiles, check the exact dimensions, the number of pieces and the material composition given for the article.

The material, washing instructions and accessories needed can all change how worthwhile an offer is. Compare it with a genuinely equivalent item rather than with the cheapest price in the category.

Assess the condition and the cost of care

Check for stains and fading, and look closely at the seams and edges. For a rug, also look at the back and check that it lies flat. The condition label does not always say what a defect is or how the item was stored.

Ask the store for any missing information and read the manufacturer's care instructions. Factor cleaning and transport into your budget before deciding that a big discount is a good deal for your needs.
