Identify the model and its intended use
Check the article number, dimensions and usage limits given in the assembly instructions: furniture designed to grow with a child may need specific parts to change configuration. Do not assume those parts are included in the offer.
For children's beds and equipment, look up the instructions and any safety notices or recalls from the manufacturer. A listing that is still available is not proof of compliance or of suitability for the child's age.
Check the safety features and assembly parts
Make sure all the parts specified in the instructions are there, especially the fixing devices and the components that prevent unwanted opening or movement. If a part is missing or you have doubts about its integrity, get the right solution confirmed before you buy.
Weigh up the full cost and the installation in the room, not just the discount. Furniture should never be used in an improvised configuration to make up for a missing part.
